I turned a Facebook Marketplace piece that I bought for $125 to $500. HOW??

So this is what we started out as. A beautiful desk from marketplace. I chose this desk specifically because each side of the desk had 4 legs.
Others I have seen, only had three legs and the person had to build a fourth leg in order for the tables to stand on their own.
I will simplify the 5 day project as much as I can.
Supplies
- Sandpaper
- Sander
- Circular Saw
- Furniture Clamps
- Wood Filler
- Respirtor
- Paint choice
- Tape Measure
- Multi tool
- Citristrip
- Mineral spirits
- Paint scraper
- Steel wool
- Eye protection
Process
- Measure the width of the stands
- Measure the distance of blade from eh frame of the circular saw
- Add distance measurement to measurement of stands in front and on back
- Find a straight edge and use furniture clamps to clamp to frame of desk
- Use circular saw and make cut; don’t forget protective wear
- Use multi tool to get off any remaining pieces after cutting
- Add wood filler to places that have voids (follow manufacturers recommendations and dry time)
- Next day, use sander to smooth wood filler
- Then scuff sand with 120 grit sandpaper the rest of the piece
- Get rid of sanding dust
- Apply citrus strip (follow manufactures instructions)
- Scrape off material
- Use steel wool soaked in mineral spirits to get off leftover residue
- Allow to dry
- In mean time sand legs if desired
- Use sander to get off any remaining stuck on residue after the stripping process 120 grit
- Then go back in with sander to smooth 220 grit
- Grab paint and paint piece
- I sealed mine with hemp oil
- add new hardware if desired
