Homemade Pepperoni Pizza
Prep time: 45 minutes Cook time: 20-25 minutes
Dough Ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour
1 packet instant yeast : 2 & 1/4 teaspoon
1 tbsp sugar
1tbsp vegatable oil
2 tsp salt
1 cup warm water
Pizza sauce ingredients:
15 oz. can of tomatoe sauce
6 oz can of tomatoe paste
1-2 tbsp sugar
1-2 tbsp garlic 2 tbsp dry italian seasoning
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp pepper
Pizza Toppings: shredded parmasean cheese, shredded mozzarella, and pepperoni
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees
- combine warm water, yeast, sugar, and oil. Stir until well incorporated. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Combine flour and salt into stand mixer with hook attachment.
- At the 5 minutes mark, your yeast mixture should look bubbly/frothy. This is what you want to see. Pour the wet ingredients into dry.
- Start mixer on low to incorporate all ingredients. If need be, stop mixer to make sure all flour from sides are scraped down into wet ingredients.
- After ingredients are incorporated, turn mixer on medium speed until the dough forms a ball. Then, keep on medium speed for another 5 minutes . The dough should be elastic, smooth, and not sticky to the touch. If it is sticky, add a sprinkle of flour, mix then repeat until you get the desired texture.
- Lightly oil a large bowl. Take dough out mixer. Fold few times to form a ball. Put into pre-oiled bowl and cover with seran wrap for 30 minutes or until the dough has doubled in size.
- In the meantime Mix all ingredients for your pizza sauce into a small pot on stove. Simmer on low until you’ve incorporated all ingredients.
- Gather your pizza toppings: parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni.
- Lightly flour working surface and rolling pin. Dump dough out on counter. I cut mine into 3 parts because I used 9 inch pans, but feel free to divide as you’d like. Roll dough out gently.
- Get your pan, lightly oil it. Take your dough and gently stretch it out in pan WITHOUT tearing until it meets the pan’s edge.
- Top it with sauce, cheese, and pepperoni
- Put into over for 20-25 minutes or until crust is brown
- Take out of pan. Let it cool. and enjoy
