I did a Facebook Live video on my skincare routine a few months back. I don’t think I saved it or any of my products, so I will do a step-by-step on here and link the products I suggest. This is a tad updated from my last routine.
Skincare Regimen:
Everyone is different in their skin type and, therefore, skincare routines will all differ. However, there is clinical proof that ONE simple action can create healthy looking skin 24/7: DRINKING LOTS OF WATER! Staying hydrated and eating heathy will reflect itself on your skin. You are what you eat after-all 🙂 This is how I do mine. IDEALLY, I would like to do this at least once a week, but, lets be honest, with kids we’re lucky to get a shower alone.
Here are the products I use in the order that I use them in.
Routine:
At least once a week after you get out your shower:
- Use a toner to get off the rest of the dirt on the face: Thayer’s Toner
- Then I start to extract the blackheads and pimples on my face. You can use this suction device, but I really like the this extraction tool kit. It hurts like the dickens, BUT really gets out the gunk.
- Then I apply a mud mask for my blackheads. At the same time I apply these under eye cooling gel packs too
- I rinse it off
- Then I apply another toner with glycolic acid. Glycolic acid aids in the reduction of pores, fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation.
- Then I use a mirco-needle roller to aid in my fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and acne
- Last I apply an all over Vitamin C serum to the face and neck. Id usually apply moisturizer too, but my face is too sensitive at night. If you are using a moisturizer, do it AFTER your serum.
- Last, but not least, I apply an under eye cream
Direction of your micro-needle:
Results After 2 weeks
Be kind, my face isn’t purtay to begin with
Before and After: 2 weeks
Hope this helps you ladies in trying to find a good regimen. It’s never too early to start! I’d start in my 20’s if I could turn back time. Don’t forget your daily sunscreen as well!!
